IMC York Upgrade and Migration notes

Moving from a single site server running Drupal 4.7 to a multi site server running Drupal 5.1

Preparation:

• Make a basic install using Drupal 5.1, with similar modules to York Drupal 4.7 DONE: meuse.tachanka.org - with modules below
• Dump York Drupal 4.7 mysql
  • Investigate files paths - for possibilty of standalone to multi-site script DONE: Moving from single site to multi-site setup
  • Investigate flexinode data - for CCK alternative migration DONE: Moving events from Flexinode to CCK
• Use Drupal to attempt 4.7 to 5.1 data upgrade DONE: Drupal 5.1 update works well...

Things to done at moment of transfer:

• Switch theme to aberdeen-york
• Change logo to sites/all/misc/imc-logo-mk2-100x50-transparent.png
• Change feeds block img link to /sites/york.indymedia.org.uk/misc/feeds.png
• Switch off header links block, and search in rhs - Theme is providing this
• Switch on Views UI
• Sort user (esp. admin, but standard content also) permissions
• Upload Newswire View

• Theme
  • forms scrolling
  • general design - RichL?
• Front Page - inclusion of attachments
• Spam module broken admin links

Drupal site development notes

• indymedia_cities upgrade?
• Use basic install to play with hiddens including comments
